–April 17, 2026 – Mary Wegelin – Kumihimo Workshop Three Pathways to Tranquility. Kumihimo, which means “gathered threads”, is a Japanese braiding technique that interlaces multiple threads to create a single cord. In this workshop, you will learn the Edo Yatsu, or basket Weave, pattern using eight strands mounted on a foam disc. The Edo Yatsu technique creates a lovely hollow, round braid which I frequently use for making necklaces. If time permits, you will also learn to create a square braid using the Kaku Yatsu technique.
– May 15, 2026 – Suzanne Chappell Presents Potholder Loom Tricks.
BACK TABLE IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS. Help support our Guild activties. Bring items you no longer need or want and buy good stuff at a discount.
SNACKS NEEDED – Our stomachs need attention during meetings, too. Snacks are aways welcomed. Thanks to those who regularly bring something.
Bobbinwinders Challenge 2025-2026 – Bobbinwinders is turning 70 this year. In honor of this milestone anniversary, our Guild Challenge will reflect some of our history. We will branch out into paper weaving this year. Your projects can take any form from wall hangings to three dimensional items, etc. However, we ask that you include the following:
· Use our Guild colors of teal or turquoise, black, purple and silver.
· Include 70 of something in your project as an homage to our 70th anniversary.
So, go for it! We look forward to seeing all the wonderful things our members can do with paper.
